HEY, GIRL!
Hey, Girl is our adolescent and teen programming. This includes our individual and group mentoring sessions, field and career explorations, college and career planning, and community service. This programming is geared toward girls age 11-20.
Group Mentoring
Our group mentoring is centered around our Saturday Girl Talk sessions, where the topics are centered around leadership, self-esteem, the community, and healthy communication. We utilize interactive workshops, guest speakers, panel discussions, and journal writing to help reinforce key principles.
Individual Mentoring
Our group mentoring is centered around our Saturday Girl Talk sessions, where the topics are centered around leadership, self-esteem, the community, and healthy communication. We utilize interactive workshops, guest speakers, panel discussions, and journal writing to help reinforce key principles.
Community Service
We feel that service is synonymous with leadership. We want to create a culture of service that the girls will carry with them into their adult lives. To that end, we partner with local women's shelters, churches, and community organizations throughout the year to serve them and support their mission.
Career & Field Explorations
We believe that exposure is essential to growth. As such, we strongly believe in placing the girls in different environments and amongst different cultures. We know that if we want them to dream bigger, we must show them what opportunities await them. We are constantly introducing them to new ideas, people, places, and ideas to inspire them to reach for the stars.
College & Career Readiness
College and career readiness experiences are an essential component when mentoring adolescent girls as they provide a foundation for future success and empowerment. These experiences help girls to envision and set concrete goals for their futures, fostering a sense of direction and purpose. By exposing them to various career paths and higher education opportunities, mentors can help demystify the processes involved, reducing anxiety and increasing confidence in their abilities to achieve their aspirations.
